Chill Choir is a new adult choir created for people who want a fun, low pressure creative outlet and place to sing with others!

About the Group Leader
Fall 2024 welcomes guest director Nicole Renna!
Nicole Renna is a singer, actor, and voice teacher in Philadelphia. In her past life she taught a competitive middle school show choir and has experience working with musicians in kindergarten all the way into their seventies! She is a lifelong theatre kid who is deeply committed to helping others express themselves with their voices. When she isn't making music, she is nurturing her hobby addiction - currently in the form of aerial hoop and knitting.

Dates and Deets
You’re always welcome to join, and you don’t need to attend all rehearsals to be a part of the choir.
We meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm at the Perch at 2321 Emerald St. Philadelphia.
Chill Choir performs one showcase per season, in the Fall, Spring, and Summer.

We Get These Questions A Lot…

Missing rehearsals is fine, you'll just miss the fun that week! We even send out a recap email each week so you stay "in-the-know" when you can't make it.

Totally! All levels and abilities are welcome! Even more, each rehearsal includes singing techniques and tips on improving your singing voice.

We learn in a variety of ways to help make sure each choir member can thrive. Both sheet music and audio recordings will be provided to all choir members. Don't worry—we got you!

There is ample free street parking availabel in the area surrounding our rehearsal location.

Totally! If you want to make sure our choir is the right fit for you before contributing financially, please feel free to join us for a rehearsal before signing up. Simply complete the online form or email our director Elise so we know you’ll be attending.

We typically meet every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8pm at The Perch. However, we do have some off weeks throughout the year, so email us or check the current schedule in our Google Folder to make sure we’re having a rehearsal that day!

Elise Mark is the founder and director of the Creative Becoming Community. A professional singer, music educator, and creative facilitator, Elise combines her love for the arts with a deep commitment to fostering community. She finds joy in creating welcoming spaces where creativity can flourish and takes pride in seeing the community grow as new voices and artists join and contribute to the Creative Becoming family.
